Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread
- ½ cup butter or margarine, melted
- ½ tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon onion powder

- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ teaspoon paprika (sweet or smoked)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon white pepper (optional)
- ⅛ teaspoon mustard powder (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt (adjust to taste)
Optional Finish
- 1 tablespoon melted butter + small squeeze of lemon juice (brushed on after baking)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice French bread in half lengthwise.
- Combine melted butter, garlic, parsley, and all spices in a small bowl.
- Brush the mixture evenly over both cut sides of the bread.
- Bake cut side up for about 10 minutes, or until golden and aromatic.
